Underrated classic
The Panetelas gets overshadowed by flashier Cohibas but it's genuinely excellent. Light, refined, and full of character. A perfect 35-minute smoke that proves you don't need a 60 ring gauge to enjoy great tobacco.

Product Presentation: Box of 25
First Third
The slim 26 ring gauge places the wrapper's contribution front and centre from the very first draw. Cedar is immediate and defined, accompanied by a distinctive Cohiba creaminess that seems amplified by the narrow format. A prickle of white pepper on the retrohale provides early complexity, while a faint nuttiness—raw almond—sits in the background. The smoke runs cool despite the thin gauge, a sign of quality construction.
Mid-Section
The midsection sees the cedar evolve into richer, darker wood tones. Coffee appears for the first time, subtle but distinct, adding depth to the creamy foundation. A touch of dark chocolate rounds out the profile at the mid-palate. The strength holds steady at medium, and the burn remains even. This is where the Panetelas proves it carries genuine Cohiba complexity in miniature.
Final Third
The closing draws bring a toasted quality to the cedar and a slight increase in pepper. The cream persists but has dried slightly, and the coffee note darkens. The finish is medium-long, balanced between woody dryness and a residual sweetness. A satisfying conclusion for a 20-to-25-minute smoke.

Cohiba, founded in 1966 as a private brand for Fidel Castro, has grown into the most recognized name in Cuban cigars. Each Cohiba Panetelas is produced at the El Laguito factory in Havana by some of Cuba's most skilled torcedores. The blend relies exclusively on tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo region, selected and aged according to methods developed over six decades of continuous production.

The Cohiba Panetelas is a Panetela format Cuban cigar measuring 115 mm (4.5") with a 26 ring gauge, presented in boxes of 25 and packs of 5.
A slender, refined expression of the Cohiba blend, the Panetelas delivers the brand's signature character in an intimate, wrapper-forward format. Suited to smokers seeking a quick Cohiba experience or those who enjoy the concentrated intensity that slim gauges provide.
Rolled from select Vuelta Abajo long-filler tobaccos at El Laguito, the Panetelas features a smooth, carefully applied wrapper. The flavour family is medium-bodied, centred on cream, cedar, and a light coffee sweetness. The narrow 26 gauge amplifies the wrapper's contribution and keeps the smoke cool. The draw is focused and the burn even across a compact session of 20 to 25 minutes.
Every Cohiba Panetelas sold through Cuban Cigars For Sale is guaranteed 100% authentic, sourced through verified Habanos channels. We ship worldwide with humidity-sealed packaging.

The Cohiba Panetelas is one of the original three vitolas from 1966 and it remains a superb smoke. The slim format concentrates the wrapper flavors beautifully, giving you a more nuanced, delicate experience than the thicker ring gauge cigars. Light cedar, cream, hay, and a whisper of white pepper. I smoke one of these at least once a week, usually in the garden with a cup of Earl Grey. It's a civilized cigar for civilized moments. If you appreciate the panetela format, this is the best one Cuba produces.
