Our Story
Cuban Cigars For Sale was founded in 2015 to bring the world's finest Habanos directly to connoisseurs in every market we can legally serve. We carry 269 Cuban cigars across 28 legendary brands — Cohiba, Montecristo, Partagás, Romeo y Julieta, Bolívar, Hoyo de Monterrey and more — every one of them sourced through authorized channels, climate-controlled from origin to door, and discreetly tracked all the way.
We exist because authentic Cuban cigars are uniquely hard to buy with confidence. Counterfeits outnumber genuine boxes in every major market. Provenance is opaque, prices swing wildly between sources, and the legal landscape around Cuban tobacco changes year by year. We built Cuban Cigars For Sale to solve all three problems for the customer: a curated, verifiable inventory at consistent prices, with an explicit authenticity guarantee.
Founded by enthusiasts, run by specialists
Our team is made up of cigar specialists who have been working with Habanos products for more than a decade. Day-to-day operations are led by our founder, who started the business after years of buying, selling and authenticating Cuban cigars for private collectors. Our Habanos editorial team maintains the 1646-article wiki and is responsible for the tasting notes and brand histories you see across the catalogue.

How we source — the authenticity chain
Every cigar we ship has been through three checkpoints before it reaches you:
- Provenance. Boxes arrive directly from authorized channels that supply La Casa del Habano network retailers. We do not buy on grey or secondary markets, and we do not buy collector-resale inventory unless it can be authenticated against its original factory documentation.
- Verification. Each box is checked against the Habanos S.A. holographic seal, barcode and the factory + date codes printed on the underside. Boxes that fail any of these checks are rejected before listing. We link to the official Habanos verification tool from every page footer: verificacion.habanos.com.
- Storage. Once verified, inventory lives in a humidity- and temperature-controlled environment (65–70% RH, 18–21°C) until shipment. Each order is double-packed with humidity control and tracked end-to-end.

Compliance and your responsibility
Cuban cigars are subject to different rules in different jurisdictions. United States customers, for instance, face OFAC restrictions on the import of Cuban-origin tobacco products. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 21 years old and that the personal import of Cuban tobacco is legal in your jurisdiction. We ship with appropriate customs declarations and duties-included pricing where available, but ultimate legal responsibility for import rests with the recipient.
