A friend handed me one of these at a cigar night and I was blown away. I'd been mostly smoking Partagas and Bolivar — heavier, fuller-bodied stuff — and the Magnum 54 showed me what the lighter side of Cuban cigars can do. The finesse is remarkable. Cream, almonds, sweet cedar, and a finish that just lingers and lingers. Ordered a box the next morning. This is now a permanent fixture in my humidor.
The Magnum 54 has quietly become my go-to weekend cigar. It doesn't get the attention that the No.2 or Sir Winston gets, but in my opinion it deserves just as much praise. Medium body, creamy texture, and a beautiful blend of cedar, nut, and light spice. Every stick from my last box burned perfectly. About an hour of smoking time which is just right for a lazy Saturday afternoon on the patio. Highly recommended for H. Upmann fans who want something a touch larger than the Magnum 50.
