Underrated classic
The Panetelas gets overshadowed by flashier Cohibas but it's genuinely excellent. Light, refined, and full of character. A perfect 35-minute smoke that proves you don't need a 60 ring gauge to enjoy great tobacco.

Product Presentation: Box of 25
First Third
The opening draw of the Cohiba Panetelas sets an inviting tone. Smooth cedar and a gentle nuttiness combine with a creamy texture that coats the palate. There is just enough spice — a light white pepper on the nose — to keep things interesting without overwhelming the initial sweetness.
Mid-Section
The midsection is where this cigar truly shines. The cedar evolves into richer wood tones, joined by coffee and a touch of dark chocolate. The strength has settled into a confident medium, and each draw delivers a satisfying volume of cool, flavorful smoke. The burn line stays razor-straight.
Final Third
Approaching the final third, the flavors concentrate beautifully. Toasted bread, leather, and a lingering sweetness emerge, while the earlier pepper returns with a bit more presence. The Cohiba Panetelas finishes strong but composed, leaving a pleasant aftertaste that lingers well after the last draw.

The Cohiba Panetelas is one of the original three vitolas from 1966 and it remains a superb smoke. The slim format concentrates the wrapper flavors beautifully, giving you a more nuanced, delicate experience than the thicker ring gauge cigars. Light cedar, cream, hay, and a whisper of white pepper. I smoke one of these at least once a week, usually in the garden with a cup of Earl Grey. It's a civilized cigar for civilized moments. If you appreciate the panetela format, this is the best one Cuba produces.
