A beginner-friendly robusto with depth
I am relatively new to Cuban cigars and a friend suggested the Vegas Robaina Unicos as a good stepping stone into fuller blends. She was right. It starts smooth and mild, then gradually builds in intensity without ever becoming overwhelming. I could pick out flavours of toasted bread, light coffee, and sweet cedar. The size is comfortable and it lasted about an hour and fifteen minutes. I smoked it on my balcony in Dubai watching the sunset and it felt like a proper luxury moment. If you are a beginner looking to explore richer Cuban cigars, this is a great place to start.
