A classy cigar that doesn't shout but speaks volumes. The Connoisseur No.1 is medium-bodied with a creaminess that coats the palate. I picked up cedar, almond, and a subtle honey note that grew stronger in the second half. Perfect construction and a burn that required zero correction. About 75 minutes of pure enjoyment. If you enjoy the more refined side of Cuban cigars, this belongs in your humidor.
There's something about the Connoisseur No.1 that feels effortless. Where other cigars sometimes struggle to balance flavour and smoothness, this one just flows. Cedar, cream, a touch of white pepper, and a long finish that gently fades with each draw. I've been smoking Cubans for twenty years and the Connoisseur series has reinvigorated my love for H. Upmann. This No.1 is probably my favourite of the lot. Superb cigar.

It reminded me of the best Romeo y Julieta Churchill I've ever had, but with H. Upmann's signature smoothness. Smoked mine on a terrace in Lisbon as the sun set and it was genuinely magical.
