Both beautiful and delicious. The packaging alone makes it worth collecting, but then you light one and realize the cigar itself might be even more impressive than the presentation. Bravo, Cohiba.
Anniversary releases can be hit or miss but the 55 Aniversario is all hit. Complex, smooth, and beautifully made. Smoked one at a friend's birthday dinner and it was the highlight of the evening.
The unusual vitola threw me at first but after the first few puffs I was sold. Packs tremendous flavor into a compact package. A real conversation piece when you pull one out at the cigar lounge.
The Cohiba 55 Aniversario was released to mark 55 years of the Cohiba brand and it's a stunner. The unique vitola — a short, thick format — concentrates an incredible amount of flavor into every puff. Rich earth, dark honey, roasted coffee beans, and a creamy sweetness that ties it all together. The band and box are gorgeous too. I bought two boxes — one to smoke, one to hold as an investment. Both seem like smart decisions. This is one of the best anniversary edition Cuban cigars Habanos has produced.
